Mission Statement: It is the mission of HHCI to provide individuals of diverse backgrounds with an opportunity to acquire a strong academic and technical education in healthcare that is well grounded in basic skills, knowledge and attitudes that are carefully woven together and diligently implemented with an ultimate goal of delivering entry level graduates into the healthcare industry that are prepared to practice safely, ethically and effectively.
Philosophy :
HHCI is committed to the learning needs of its students and believe that “every individual has the ability to learn”. We further believe the following:
· Education is a lifelong process and should be accessible to the public. HHCI will strive to enable youngsters and adults to have an opportunity to learn, grow and contribute to the well-being of others through educational instruction, learned skills and positive role models.
· Students must be supported in the learning process. Students must have the ability to receive and process knowledge in order for learning to occur.
· An education grounded in basic skills, scientific knowledge and positive attitudes will produce students with clinical competencies, a solid knowledge base & strong work ethics.
· A culturally congruent and sensitive atmosphere that honors and celebrates diversity will be highly encouraged.
· A carefully structured academic and guidance-counseling program to support students in achieving their individual academic goals that provide students with a foundation for lifelong learning and a positive attitude.
